RIVHSA recognizes the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals, programs, and organizations in Region IV with the presentation of awards and scholarships. State affiliates select candidates to represent their state at the regional and national level. In addition to the national awards and scholarships offered by NHSA, there are several region-specific categories sponsored by RIVHSA. These categories are exclusively for our regional grantees. Therefore, state nominees only compete at the regional level for these categories. Each year, regional winners are honored at an awards ceremony held in conjunction with RIVHSA’s annual conference.
From funding to reauthorization and legislation and regulations, advocacy and grantee performance are intrinsically linked so it is important for RIVHSA to conduct grantee outreach activities to directly support grantee success. Recognizing this connection, RIVHSA implemented the Program Assistance Fund (PAF) in 2003 to promote grantee success by facilitating review readiness or post-review compliance. Currently through PAF, member grantees may receive up to $1500 to offset the cost of training and technical assistance (T/TA) services related to their upcoming monitoring review. Contact us today to apply at mingram@rivhsa.org.
The Job Fair is a voluntary service and does not list every available Head Start or Early Head Start employment opportunity. Contact individual programs in your area to learn about all available openings. Use the Head Start Program Locator to find programs and contact information in any geographic area. To apply for a job or check the status of an application, you must contact that program directly.
