RIVHSA seeks rich and robust educational sessions that meet the diverse interests and specialties of our conference audience. Each training event provides a unique opportunity for continuing education and to connect with colleagues to share innovative approaches and expand understanding of critical topics important to the Head Start and Early Head Start community.
From exhibition to print advertising, RIVHSA’s cost-effective and high-impact marketing opportunities will help you build visibility in the regional Head Start (HS)/Early Head Start (EHS) community. Our exhibit marketplace and conference program connects exhibitors to hundreds of conference attendees ranging from administrators to service level professionals to parents and partners. RIVHSA only hosts an exhibit area in conjunction with its annual conference but advertisement space is available for all events.

Early Head Start Institute: Opening Windows of Opportunity (September 29- October 1, 2020 / Virtual)

Leading, Innovating Together: A Distance Learning Series (May-August 2020 / Virtual)
[MARK YOUR CALENDAR & REGISTER] In response to the global Coronavirus pandemic, RIVHSA has launched a distance-learning series, Leading, Innovating Together (LIT), in lieu of an in-person event this summer. LIT will be conducted May-August 2020. For this series, RIVHSA has collaborated with highly regarded regional and national entities to provide a combination of on-demand and live-streamed content. Not only will RIVHSA host customized sessions but we will also create a centralized calendar that integrates webinars being offer by vetted providers. Our goal is to be a one-stop resource for your leadership team's virtual learning needs this summer. LIT is a great opportunity for both emerging and seasoned Head Start (HS)/Early Head Start (EHS) leaders to expand their understanding and application of best practices, management principles, and quality initiatives to achieve a high standard of excellence today and tomorrow. This series is ideal for the Executive Director, Head Start and Early Head Start Director, Fiscal Officer, Content Area Managers, Board and Policy Council Chairs/Members, as well as other key staff who hold a position of responsibility and accountability. Connecting Money & Mission: A Virtual Fiscal and Program Management Series (July 2020)
[ON-DEMAND SESSIONS NOW AVAILABLE] Every nonprofit organization must balance the pursuit of its mission and financial viability. The health of the organization depends on its ability to weigh its mission, capital structure, and organizational capacity in equal measure both as individual areas of concerns as well as on a larger scale in relation to each other. The Region IV Head Start Association has collaborated with the Region IV Office of Head Start to offer a virtual fiscal and program management series that addresses trending issues, is responsive to your voice, and is reflective of our joint commitment to improve grantee performance and support continuous quality improvement in program leadership. The series was created by the National Center on Program Management and Fiscal Operations (NCPMFO) at the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, and the content will be presented by the talented NCPMFO team of experts. This event is ideal for organizations committed to harnessing the power of teams, and grantees are encouraged to register as an organizational team: Executive Director, Head Start Director, Fiscal Officer, Content Area Managers, Board and Policy Council Chairs/Members, as well as other key staff who hold a position of responsibility and accountability. Advance registration is strongly encouraged to ensure that platform capacity can accommodate demand. The sessions are provided at no cost to grantees. Each session will include a link to complete an evaluation. Once the evaluation is completed, participants will receive an attendance certificate.
Leadership Summit (June 23-26, 2020 - Atlanta, GA)
[EVENT CANCELLED] Every year, we look forward to connecting with regional leadership – both seasoned and emerging - at our Leadership Summit to provide cutting-edge professional development and expand our shared our vision for Head Start’s future. But as our nation and the world joins together to fight the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, it is imperative that each of us does what we can to support this global health movement. With this belief, RIVHSA announces the cancellation of our 2020 Leadership Summit. In place of the in-person event, we have launched a distance learning series for grantee leadership with a combination of on-demand and live-streamed content from May-August 2020 to bring our community together in the spirit of continued learning and innovation. If you have already paid event registration, you will be contacted by RIVHSA to process a refund or apply funds towards another RIVHSA transaction by your direction. If you have booked a reservation at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at the CNN Center, your reservation will be automatically cancelled by the hotel and you will receive notification of this action from the property. If you do not receive an email notice of cancellation by May 12, please contact the hotel's reservation department (404.659.0000 or 800.843.6664).
